In July 2017 the HOOD COMPANY created software to integrate its dynamic sign products with the Everbridge unified critical communications platform at DFW Airport.  The enhanced system was tested at LIfesavers 2017 held in the Rental Car Center on the South end of the airport.  The LED signage was installed over Exit doors and the message broadcasted EVACUATE NOW!!! when Everbridge sent its signal.  The signs proved they can penetrate smoke and can attract attention at every visible angle  from entrances to exits.  Since the signs are infinitely variable, messages can be custom created and changed depending on the incident. The system operates over PoE and wirelessly.  An added benefit is that the signs provide light to guide victims when affected areas can lose power during a disturbance.
